Day Fifteen

I went to Jerusalem, and after staying there three days,
I set out during the night with a few others.
I had not told anyone
what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 2:11-12

Timing is everything! One man put it this way:

“The wrong decision at the wrong time equals disaster.
The wrong decision at the right time equals a mistake.
The right decision at the wrong time equals unacceptance.
The right decision at the right time equals success.”
John Maxwell

Nehemiah knew he had made the right decision! It came at the right time! It came after 3 months of praying! It came after getting others to pray with him! It came after asking King Artaxerxes to let him go! It came after a long, arduous trip from Susa to Jerusalem.
The timing for each thing was important.
People in Jerusalem had to be curious when he showed up. Especially since he had a military escort. I am not sure where he put the building supplies. He might have left them a ways away until he was sure the people were on board.
It took him three days to tell the people of Jerusalem what he was up to.
Is there something in your life you have been waiting on God for? Waiting on God is important! (Isaiah 40:31) Trusting him for his timing matters more than we can know!
For three years the leaders of Crossroads have been thinking and praying about the addition we want to build through our REACHING BEYOND CAMPAIGN. We believe now is the time to share it with you. Please pray with us about this today.
