RON WIEBERS

Facilities Manager

Ron Wiebers was born in Northeast Colorado and raised on a farm. He grew up with seven sisters two brothers and was the third oldest among them. His upbringing was rooted in the Methodist church that he attended regularly. He participated in VBS and the annual Christmas program.

After completing high school, Ron pursued higher education. While away in college he made his commitment to Christ led by several fellow Christian brothers. In 1979, he found himself in the Denver area, drawn to the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and their breathtaking sunsets along the Front Range. Ron was married in 1980 and started a family, welcoming his first daughter, Ashley in 1984. followed by Jeffery in 1987, and Matthew in 1989.

Dedicated to raising his family in a Christian environment, Ron faced challenges when his marriage took a difficult turn, leading to a divorce in 1999. As a single father, he focused on raising his children and making ends meet. Throughout the years, Ron engaged in Bible studies and persevered in his role as a father.

In 2006, Ron’s life took a positive turn when he met Gloria, also a single parent with a daughter named Paula and a son named Johnny. Both were navigating life’s challenges. Their paths converged at Southeast Christian Church in Parker where they became very active members over the next 13 years. Under the guidance of Pastor Russ McCracken, they became a united family in 2010.

The couple now find themselves blessed with a blended family of five kids, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Ron spent over 27 years working in facilities at UCHealth before retiring in 2021. In 2018 Ron and Gloria joined Crossroads Community Church, where their faith has continued to grow. Since retiring Ron has found a new sense of purpose when he joined Crossroads’ Facilities team utilizing his skills to assist in various capacities. Overall, Ron’s journey is a testament to his resilience, faith, and the way he has embraced the blessings and challenges that life has presented.
